SITE: The project involved the construction of a 2 storey extension to the side of the existing house. The original house maintains many of its original architectural details. The concept was to create a modern coach house compliment the original house with a glazed connection joining both properties.
The glazed connection between the old and the new, show cases the view across the water to poolbeg.
The project mirrors a lot of the original brick arch lintels to the original house – formed on site.
The interior is where the project was allowed to remove itself from the aesthetic look of the exterior – and we completed a minimalist living space for our clients.
